Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families in crisis? At Carle Health, we are excited to announce a unique opportunity made possible by a grant from the City of Peoria. We are implementing a co-responder model that pairs mental health professionals with Peoria Police to provide essential support to those in need. This is your chance to connect people to vital mental health services beyond their initial crisis!

What You'll Do

As a Mental Health Professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Actively listening to clients and using motivational interviewing and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Exercising sound judgment to reach clinically appropriate resolutions.
  • Respecting and addressing the diverse values and cultural beliefs of clients and their families.
  • Collaborating with law enforcement and emergency personnel during crisis situations.
  • Providing follow-up case management and clinical oversight to staff members.
  • Maintaining appropriate boundaries and required productivity.
  • Completing timely documentation and monitoring treatment progress.
  • Delivering culturally sensitive counseling and support during life crises.

What You Need to Succeed

We are looking for passionate individuals who meet the following qualifications :

  • Licenses / Certifications :
  • Proof of Auto Insurance

  • Driver’s License from the Secretary of State (SOS)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Education : Master’s Degree in Social Work (Required)
  • Experience : At least 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Other Skills :
  • Ability to work with diverse age groups.

  • Basic computer skills for documentation.
  • Ability to drive in various weather conditions.
  • Proficiency in de-escalation techniques.
