This role will require a hands-on approach to managing personal injury cases and will give you the opportunity to develop your leadership skills while working with an exceptional team.
Responsibilities
- Manage a docket of pre-litigation personal injury cases
- Investigation of coverage, develop theories of liability and damage models
- Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers
- Negotiation and settlement of personal injury claims
- Analyze medical records and bills for utilization in case development
- Supervise legal support staff and provide detailed direction on cases
- Perform cost and benefit analysis of settlement versus litigation
- Keep clients updated as to the status of their case
Qualifications & Skills
0-3 years' experience (law school grads welcome)Texas bar license (or eligibility to waive in)Aggressive, competitive negotiator ready to be an advocate for your clientsAbility to support and interact with clients, adjusters, and other lawyers and paralegals in a professional mannerFamiliarity with Texas insurance lawsStrong legal research, writing, and negotiation skillsKnowledge and understanding of pre-litigation processComfortable in their role as a leader within the firmEagerness to learn and grow in a high-volume personal injury practice.Ability to manage deadlines and multiple prioritiesReady to work more than 40 hours a week to get the job doneBilingual (English and Spanish) preferred, but not requiredJob Type / Schedule
