Crew Leader-Commercial Grounds Maintenance
The Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Leader is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing a year-round landscaping crew delivering high-quality commercial grounds maintenance services. This position is accountable for crew supervision, operational planning, client relations, safety compliance, and execution of maintenance tasks in accordance with company standards and contractual obligations.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Supervise, lead, and train crew members in the performance of routine commercial landscape maintenance services.
- Ensure timely execution of all grounds maintenance requirements, including mowing, edging, pruning, and seasonal tasks.
- Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment and machinery.
- Load, unload, and transport heavy materials and equipment to job sites.
- Coordinate daily work assignments, equipment needs, and material pickups.
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Monitor and adjust irrigation systems, including controller settings and minor repairs.
- Conduct daily safety briefings and participate in department meetings.
- Prepare and submit timekeeping records and other required documentation.
- Drive and operate company vehicles, including trucks with trailers, while transporting crew and equipment.
Equipment Operation :
Push, walk-behind, and ride-on mowersEdgers, string trimmers, chainsaws, and pruning toolsBlowers, sprayers, tillers, aerators, and slit seedersHand tools (e.g., shovels, picks, rakes)Occasional operation of tractors and other specialized equipmentCompensation & Benefits :
