If you're not certified, we offer paid CNA training on-site, allowing you to grow with us and receive an immediate promotion to a CNA with a pay increase!\n\n$2.50 / hr location premium available!\n\nThe Good Samaritan Society - Canistota is a 55-bed facility providing rehabilitation and senior living, conveniently located about 30 minutes from Sioux Falls.\n\nJob Summary\n\nThe Nursing Assistant serves as a crucial caregiver to residents in long-term care, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate care, as per care plans, and following infection prevention and control policies.\n\nKey responsibilities include : \n

• Assisting with basic health care needs such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.\n
• Obtaining and recording vital signs and providing psychosocial support.\n
• Helping with transfers, repositioning, and walking residents using proper techniques.\n
• Completing tasks related to food preparation and dining experiences.\n
• Documenting resident interactions and reporting changes in condition to the charge nurse.\n
• Assisting with housekeeping and laundry services to maintain cleanliness.\n
• Encouraging residents to participate in wellness and recreational programs.\n\nQualifications\n\nTo apply, you should possess : \n
• A high school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.\n
• A minimum age of 16; prior experience in long-term care is a plus.\n
• Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or willingness to obtain certification within four months of hire.\n
