Familiar with power tools such as impact guns, cut off wheels, and drills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. The employee must regularly lift and / or move more than 25 pounds, frequently lift and / or move more than 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move in excess of 100 pounds. Must have a valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles. Ability to stand for up to 8 Hours Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to work on elevated platforms Ability to climb ladders This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and / or reaching You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery Health insurance (medical, dental, vision) PTO program and paid holidays 401K
Job Description
Our Auburn Pump and Motor Repair Shop is looking for a Mechanic Helper to join the team.
This role is to assist the Pump Mechanics in the cleaning, painting, testing, binning, partially disassembling of AC / DC motors and pumps.
Mechanic Helper Responsibilities :
- Assist in the maintenance of service truck tools, safety equipment, instruments, and materials, specific to pump, motor, and equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Assist mechanics with the disassembly of pump and motor assemblies.
- Cleaning Parts using a sandblaster and air tools.
- Keep shop areas clean from debris.
- Assist in the maintenance of required stock of pumps, parts, fittings, pipe and related material on the service truck.
- Performs cleaning, lubricating of tools as required.
- Performs duties in a professional manner and works well with others or in a team setting.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with co-workers, outside agencies, and the public.
- Regular attendance and adherence to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities.
- Observes safe work practices and safety methods; performs other duties as assigned.
