About The Position

Experience : Minimum 1.5 years of PCU / Stepdown experience required

License : Valid nursing license required

• Ventilator experience required
• Experience with a patient ratio of 1 : 5 in work history
• Experience in team nursing model preferred
• Travel experience preferred

Description :

This position involves working in an intermediate care neuroscience unit.

The unit provides professional skilled care to a diverse patient population.

Patient diagnoses may include cerebrovascular accidents, transient ischemic attacks, seizures, and other neurological conditions.

Staff will work in a mixed acuity setting, caring for high-risk respiratory patients as needed.

Nurses may float between units based on the needs of the facility.

Team nursing may be used, where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs collaborate to care for a group of patients.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and managing ventilators.

Nurses will participate in interdisciplinary support with various teams.

This role requires functioning effectively under pressure and adapting to patient care needs.

Availability to work every other weekend and holiday is expected.

Census is typically 36 patients per day with a patient age group of adults and geriatrics.
