Knowledge & Skills

Travel to customer locations to perform oil changes, fluid checks, and other preventative maintenance on Class 6,7,8 trucks

Inspect vehicle systems including engine, transmission, drive line, brake and cooling systems for potential maintenance issues.

Replace oil filters, fuel filters, and other serviceable components according to manufacturer specifications

Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inspection reports

Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of oils, lubricants, and waste materials in compliance with environmental regulations

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify maintenance needs or mechanical concerns

Communicate findings and recommend services to customers in a clear professional manner

Knowledgeable of proper repair techniques using equipment and tools

Learns & understands the complete service repair order (RO) process

Understands and follows all warranty procedures

Understands and follows all safety protocols in a mobile setting

Practices good housekeeping when maintaining mobile truck, tools and inventory

Stays abreast of state-of-the-art techniques when repairing vehicle systems

Qualifications

At least 2-3 years of automotive, Ag, or diesel technician experience preferred

Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills

Must be detailed oriented

Must have a clean driving record; Commercial driver's license preferred, but not required

Must be at least eighteen (18) years old

Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and physical

Must be able to frequently lift 10 to 75 lbs. without assistance

Must be able to manage all weather elements - heat, cold, wind, wetness and humidity
