This Technical Project Management position resides within the Optum Serve IT Product team with a focus on Government Healthcare. The growing Technical Project Mgt teams mission is to support the Optum Serve IT team driving projects for Growth, Capital, Regulatory, and Operational requests through the IT org. The PM will work with one-to-many IT discipline teams within OSIT (infrastructure, development, platform, endpoint, and Info Sec) to create and drive hybrid scrum / waterfall project plans to implementation. The PM will also be tasked with tracking risks, issues, and action items to meet our various timeline goals to deliver results for the Optum Serve business.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of project scope statements, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives
- Identify all impacted areas and engage appropriate resources in the scope definition process
- Ensure project dependencies, deliverables, and success criteria are identified and agreed upon by stakeholders
- Manage project scope through change management to drive effective project execution
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, identifying project duration, effort, sequence, and task dependencies
- Acquire project resources and ensure resourcing aligns with available funding, obtaining stakeholder agreement on schedules and plans
- Monitor and report progress throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring seamless transition from implementation to business
- Develop project budgets and forecasts, manage project budgets, and ensure adherence to financial procedures and governance guidelines
- Establish quality objectives and standards, monitor project milestones and outcomes, and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Identify potential risks / issues, develop and implement risk management plans, and ensure resolution of identified risks

Required Qualifications :
3+ years demonstrated Project Management experienceBroad understanding of the 5 stages of project management : Initiation, Planning Execution, Monitor and Control, Closeout. Be able to articulate this understanding with relevant work experienceIf you are offered this position, you will be required to provide extensive personal information to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential / Secret or Top Secret security clearance as a condition of your employmentPreferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Software, Business, Engineering or related discipline with an emphasis in Project Management. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
