Progressive Edge is looking for a Project Manager\Developer to lead the migration process of a .Net Shop Floor collection system into the Android environment.  This person will also assist in the direct management of customers in our current environment while this transition is in progress.  There are two responsibilities which we are looking for :

• Support and maintain the current customer base on the .Net platform.
• Design, develop and migrate existing application functionality to Android.

To support the existing customer base, the ideal candidate will be able to work well with users, assist in troubleshooting problems and to communicate technical needs to the existing development staff.  Experience with SQL Server, installation processes and remote support will be a plus.

To support Android development, the ideal candidate will have skills in developing and maintaining Android applications using like Kotlin and Java, and qualifications, including experience with Android SDK, APIs, and the full mobile development lifecycle.

Education

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with customers to improve their use of the existing software, as well as a passion for developing the next of software utilizing the latest technologies.  These qualities will override educational requirements, but we will be looking for some formal education with a minimum of a 2 year degree.

Environment

Progressive Edge is a small company located in Menomonee Falls, WI.  We develop software for Manufacturing companies and have a strong customer base.  Maintaining this base is key to our future success with an Android product.  So, we have a customer focused environment.  We are not a coding shop.

Remote work is available to the right candidate, for a portion of the work week.  Benefits will be discussed and an appropriate package will be tailored to the needs of the candidate.

You will be part of a team, which includes the President on down, to deliver the best solutions to our customers.

At Progressive Edge, every one is a vital part of our business. Everyone plays a role in Customer Service, Management, and Production. Our applications help our customers extend their legacy systems, but also reach into the cloud to take advantage of that ever changing landscape. One day we could be working on an IoT system to track employee efficiencies on the shop floor, and the next day working on a fairly basic report.

Our Customers are diverse. Some are small 10 user manufacturing shops, and other span multiple locations with hundreds of employee's. Our customer base is International, with a predominance in North America.

We will be moving our development to Android which will be an exciting journey.
