As NASA's largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States, we have an exciting opportunity for a Spaceflight Hardware Pyrotechnic Systems Engineer to join the team with Oceaneering, a teammate company.

The Spaceflight Hardware Pyrotechnic Systems Engineer will :

• Identify technical needs and manage systems engineering and technical integration activities for pyrotechnic systems over the entire life cycle, including design, development, test, evaluation, verification, launch, on-orbit, and entry operations.
• Support requirements development, design reviews, test and verification plans, and other technical reviews of NASA pyrotechnic systems.
• Direct and support design, development, test, and verification activities to ensure the system meets its requirements
• Provide oversight and recommendations into spacecraft pyrotechnic systems architecture, designs, requirements, and performance.
• Assist in root cause identification and resolution of technical problems and issues.
• Perform hazard reports assessments and analyze technical feasibility of pyrotechnic devices.
• Coordinate with Safety and Mission Assurance to ensure safety measures are in place for pyrotechnic devices.
