Overview

Audio Engineer | $20 / hr Remote at Crossing Hurdles

Position : Audio & Sound Specialist

Type : Hourly Contract

Location : Remote

Duration : 2–3 months (with potential extensions)

Commitment : 10–40 hours / week

Compensation : $20 / hour

Responsibilities

  • Identify and describe soundscapes of audio–visual content for AI training datasets.
  • Create and edit Foley effects and soundtracks to ensure realism and immersion.
  • Engineer audio for clarity, synchronization, and high-quality outputs.
  • Evaluate AI-generated sound and music, providing structured, constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with researchers and creative teams to refine sound design standards.
  • Training support will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Strong professional experience in sound design, audio engineering, music production, or related fields .
  • Proven track record in film, gaming, music, or immersive media projects .
  • Proficiency with industry-standard audio tools (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton, Reaper).
  • Strong creative judgment and attention to sonic detail.
  • Ability to work independently, deliver polished outputs remotely, and meet deadlines.
