About The Position

🧠 Locum Opportunity : Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Night Shifts | Colorado

We’re seeking an experienced Neurosurgery NP for night shift locum coverage at a busy trauma hospital in Colorado.

🗓️ Position Details :

Role : Nurse Practitioner – Neurosurgery (Locum)

Schedule : 12-hour night shifts (6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM)

Availability : Up to 20 shifts / month

Call : In-house; NP must be onsite for emergencies

👥 Practice & Patient Details :

Setting : 100% hospital-based

Patient Mix : 98% adult | 2% pediatric | 90% trauma

Volume : 3 surgeries / day

10–25 patients / day (includes 3–5 admissions and ~3 ICU patients)

Supervision : May oversee other providers during call coverage

🧩 Preferred Skills :

NP First Assist – strongly preferred

General Neurosurgery (Adult & Trauma)

Cerebrovascular : Aneurysm Clipping, Endovascular, Carotid / Vertebral Artery

Spinal Surgery (with / without instrumentation)

ICP Monitor Placement

💻 EMR & Tools : EMR : EPIC

Diagnostics : Onsite lab and imaging

✅ Requirements :

Board Certified NP – Required

Active Colorado or Compact State License – Required
