What You'll Do : As part of our Summer Material Damage Team, you will make significant contributions to the Farm Bureau claim experience with our client / members. You will assist our claims team with managing their open claims, learning how to issue various payments, running various reports, managing special projects, and delivering presentations. You will also manage your own inventory of comprehensive losses by adjusting them from start to finish. During extreme storm events that trigger high-volume auto claims, you will also have primary responsibility for the scheduling of hail inspection appointments. This position may be involved with piloting new platforms / applications the Company is considering for adoption. Although previous work experience is desired, we welcome the opportunity to teach the right candidates who possess the traits we need - including strong work ethic, excellent communications and interpersonal skills, multi-tasking ability, adaptability, quick-learners and highly-organized.
We are looking for two (2) interns to join our team this summer! Interns will be involved in our 80 / 10 / 10 internship approach. The 80 / 10 / 10 approach means that 80% of your work time will involve performing tasks or working on projects within your hired work area, 10% of your time will be exposure to other areas of the business through job shadows, and the final 10% of your time will be spent involved in corporate activities and shared experiences across the organization. We will also assign you to a mentor from our Team for the summer.
