Description :

General comments about the position include a focus on postoperative patient recovery.

The unit accommodates a maximum of 40 beds with a patient ratio of 1 : 2.

Scrub colors are surgical green or navy.

Unit staffing consists of available unit secretaries and patient care technicians.

Four patient care technicians are scheduled daily and assigned to specific areas.

Staff members can draw labs, perform catheterizations, and transport patients.

Standard PACU equipment is utilized for patient care.

The documentation system in use is Cerner.

Scheduling of shifts follows a six-week cycle with three required on-call shifts.

Floating may occur within peri-anesthesia areas, which include endoscopy, pre-op, and phase II recovery.

Patient experience requirements are in place as per specific guidelines.
