Description :

Position Summary : To take food and drink orders from guests and enter correctly and accurately in to POS; cash handling; stocking supplies; performing sidework and running sidework; cleaning / bussing tables; greeting all guests upon arrival and thanking and saying ”goodbye” to all guests as they leave; assisting all staff and management to maintain a clean restaurant including all work areas and kitchen areas.

Food Server Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

Possesses clear and friendly communication skills
Possesses ability to ‘sell’
Guiding guests through the menu while demonstrating thorough knowledge of food, beverage and ingredients
Taking accurate orders and partnering with team members to serve food and beverages that meet and exceed guest expectations
Providing friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return
Interact in courteous and professional manner with Guests, management and co-workers
Monitors guests’ behavior while purchasing or consuming alcohol to stay within the Alcohol Beverage
Control Rules and Regulations
Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
Possess current CA Food Handler’s Card
Possess current Alcohol Safety Certification
Other requirements : basic math skills, positive attitude, ability to handle stress well, ability to multi-task, physical requirements could include standing, walking, reaching, lifting (up to 25 lbs) and bending.
