Overview
Position Summary
The EI Teacher Assistant will operate under the direction of the classroom teacher and the supervision of the program manager. The teacher assistant is an active participant in planning, preparation, running activities, engaging / facilitating play, and setup / cleanup of the classroom. Regular attendance is essential for this position.

United Services for Children is a nonprofit organization that provides pediatric therapy and early intervention services to children of all abilities and offers support services for their families. We focus on children ages birth through 12 years old. Located at 3420 Harry S. Truman Blvd. St. Charles, MO , serving approximately 300 children annually.

Education Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Experience Qualifications
Experience with children aged 0 – 5 years is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge : Basic principles of child development and early intervention.
Skills : Requires effective verbal and written communication skills. Must have the skills necessary to work on a team, problem solve, and enhance a team approach. Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines also necessary.
Abilities : Must be able to establish rapport with children, families, and co-workers and work with them as a professional team member. Access and operate computer software and utilize resources effectively while functioning independently.
