Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg float pool night shift position requiring an OH or compact RN license and at least two years of med / surg experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based Med / Surg float pool
  • Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
  • Night shifts : 3 x 12-hour shifts (7 : 00PM - 7 : 30AM), including some weekends and holidays
  • Patient ratios are typically 1 : 4-5
  • Care for a varied adult Med / Surg patient population
  • Uses EPIC EMR, with prior EPIC experience required
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to a range of Med / Surg patients
  • Must be available to float to additional units as necessary
  • Holiday coverage is required according to unit needs
  • Locals are accepted for this position
  • RTO must be declared and approved before contract begins
  • Former employees are eligible if at least 6 months have passed since last employment
  • Current employees of the specified health system are not eligible as travelers

  • Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent Med / Surg RN experience
  • Proficiency with IV starts and telemetry monitoring
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly
  • Two professional references required, one from a supervisor or manager
