Description
Position Purpose :
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center , the Main Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients.
What You Will Do
Provide intraoperative care by performing circulating and / or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures.
Required
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing required
Valid RN license in Connecticut
Preferred
Bachelor’s in Nursing
Ideal candidates will have 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience.
Current BLS / CPR (AHA or Red Cross)
Familiarity with AORN standards
Important Consideration
This position is open to candidates seeking training through the AORN Periop 101 program. Comprehensive onboarding and education will be provided to support a successful transition into the intraoperative nursing environment.
Position Highlights
Full-Time : 40 hrs / week – Evening Shift
Rotating weekends / holidays; on-call required
Specialty pay is available exclusively to experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience
