Basic Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience with a Bachelor's degree OR three or more years with a Master's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equiv.
- Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes such as manual & CNC machining, sheet metal forming, welding & assembly.
- Familiarity with typical Mil-Spec special processes (heat treatment, conversion coatings, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).
- Thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficient utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) – PTC Creo, CATIA or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance which requires US citizenship.
Job Description
You will be the Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Engineering Prototype Laboratory (EPL) in Orlando, FL. The EPL specializes in producing complex machined and fabricated components that support the early development and testing phase of advanced defense applications and systems.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the overall effort of transforming engineering concepts into finished product utilizing EPL's machinists / fabricators / technicians and capabilities including CNC multi-axis machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding and laser bed powder fusion (LBPF) additive manufacturing.Why Join Us

Desired Skills
Skilled in utilizing precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment.Ability to estimate labor, material, and outside services costs to fabricate, machine and process hardware in a "build to print environment".Experience providing feedback on design for manufacturing / producibility with respect to quality, costs, and lead-time.Lean Six Sigma training & experience.Knowledge of LM systems such as SAP, Apriso, and others for ordering and tracking hardware.Effective project management skills.Other Important Information
