We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead operations at a new food production facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in food manufacturing, production optimization, and team development.
Position Overview
The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of daily production, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output in compliance with industry regulations. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.
Base pay range
$75,000.00 / yr - $85,000.00 / yr

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Foster a positive, safety-focused, and results-oriented work culture.
- Manage production schedules, staffing, and workflow to meet output, cost, and quality objectives.
- Monitor and improve production processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resources.
- Resolve production and quality issues quickly to maintain smooth operations.
- Develop and track KPIs, analyzing performance trends and implementing corrective actions where needed.
- Partner with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination across departments.
- Enforce compliance with HACCP, FDA, and all relevant health and safety standards.
- Assist in budget planning and cost control measures, identifying savings without compromising safety or quality.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).Proven production management experience within the food manufacturing sector.Strong knowledge of food production processes, quality systems, and compliance requirements.Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.Proficient in production planning, scheduling, and reporting tools.Skilled in process improvement, problem-solving, and cost reduction strategies.Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work off-shifts to ensure alignment across all production teams.Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and employee programs.Seniority level
