Job Description : We have an exciting new opportunity for Electronics Design Engineer. As the Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for electronics hardware circuit design and design assessment for Nuclear Hardening & Survivability including Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) for Aero Engine Control System. You will usually work in project teams with colleagues in other branches of engineering. In this role, you will travel up to 20% between Rolls-Royce sites and up to 15% other travel.

The control system is designed to deliver world class efficiency, diagnostics, and cyber treat protection via a modern architectural solution. The Electronics Development Team will serve a wide range of gas turbine engines / applications.
Key Accountabilities :
- Execute the analysis and / or evaluation / validation of electronics components, equipment, and subsystems for control system compliance to operationally relevant nuclear threat environments
- Study radiation effects on electronics from single event upsets and total ionizing dose
- Support environmental qualification compliance and testing - including test coordination
- Develops Test Procedures and Performs Functional Testing on electronic hardware for radiation testing
- Evaluate uncertainty and risks associated with requirements and designs
Basic Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience, ORMaster's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, ORPhD in Electronics / Electrical EngineeringIn order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a high level security clearancePreferred Requirements :
5+ years of experience in radiation / EMP design of wire harness, analog and digital circuitsFamiliarization and experience with radiation hardening, EMP / HEMP, and / or nuclear hardeningExperience in mitigation techniques for radiation effects at device and circuit levelsFamiliarity with government nuclear certification processes and government acquisitionsExperience in analog, digital, and mixed electronic system designFamiliarity with various aspects of Controls Systems, particularly those used in Aerospace SystemsBenefits : (employee contribution)
