Preference will be given to candidates with power and controls electrical CAD experience within the utility industry related to the design and installation of natural gas pipelines, compressor stations and process equipment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our natural gas pipeline engineering and mechanical design team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, implementation, and support of pipeline facilities while gaining valuable field experience. The Project Engineer will assist in preparing designs, specifying materials, developing schedules, performing engineering studies, and supporting active construction projects with occasional site visits (~10%).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare designs for pipelines, meter stations, and other pipeline facilities.
  • Specify and coordinate procurement of materials for facility designs.
  • Develop project implementation schedules and prepare cost estimates.
  • Conduct engineering studies, including data analysis and process flow analysis.
  • Draft technical reports and project documentation.
  • Provide support for active construction projects and perform periodic site visits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel for occasional regional site visits (~10%).
