Ability to relate to and communicate with the children and their parents

Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally

Knowledge of developmental stages relevant to ages taught

Interact frequently with preschoolers, express respect for and affection toward them by smiling speaking to the children throughout the day

Using positive guidance techniques to redirect a corrective behavior

Prepare weekly lesson plans with activities and experiences that are developmentally appropriate

Keep individual records on bulletin board

Encourage development of independent skills and choice  in activities, while fostering trust and self.
