Purchasing Manager - Industrial Manufacturing

Purchasing Manager - Lead with Impact in Industrial Manufacturing

Location : Canal Louisville, OH (On-site, weekend availability)

Relocation Package Available

Base Salary, $90K-$110K and DOE

Are you a confident, approachable leader who thrives in fast-paced, industrial environments? We're seeking a Purchasing Manager with a strong background in heavy industrial manufacturing to lead a high-performing team and drive supply chain excellence.

This role is about more than purchasing-it's about building systems, relationships, and results. You'll lead strategic sourcing, streamline operations, and guide change in a complex, hands-on manufacturing setting where precision, timing, and trust are everything.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a collaborative purchasing team with a hands-on, team-first approach.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across departments and levels.
  • Streamline purchasing processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and reduce risk.
  • Optimize inventory, lead times, and supplier diversity.
  • Play a key role in system upgrades and supply chain transformation.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of purchasing and leadership experience (teams of 3-5+)
  • Industrial manufacturing experience is essential -you understand the pace, pressure, and precision required
  • Proven success in vendor management, contract negotiation, and process improvement
  • Strong systems knowledge (Excel, ERP / supply chain tools)

    • Preferred : 10+ years combined experience / education, certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CPSM), Power BI, union experience, and global sourcing exposure.
