Java Technical Architect

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Wealth Management Architect to lead the design, implementation, and scaling of our next-generation wealth management platforms. This role is ideal for a technology leader with a strong background in financial services, fintech, or wealth management who thrives in building robust technical ecosystems and driving innovation.

The Architect will define and execute core technology frameworks, automation strategies, and technical governance to ensure consistency, scalability, and high performance across all projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams-including engineering, data science, and product management-to deliver secure, intelligent, and client-focused wealth management solutions.

Key Responsibilities Architecture & Solution Design

Design and implement high-performance, scalable wealth management platforms using Java , Python , and cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) .

Architect microservices-based systems for portfolio analytics, trading, and client onboarding modules.

Integrate FinTech APIs (Bloomberg, Reuters, Plaid, etc.) and third-party custodial and payment platforms.

Ensure low-latency data processing to support real-time risk assessments and portfolio rebalancing.

Engineering Leadership

Lead and mentor engineering teams in Java / Python frameworks (Spring Boot, Django, Pandas).

Drive best practices in software engineering including TDD, CI / CD, DevOps, and automated deployment.

Oversee code reviews , system optimization, and platform scalability initiatives.

Innovation & Emerging Technologies

Collaborate with data scientists and quants to deploy AI / ML models for personalized financial insights.

Explore and integrate emerging technologies such as blockchain (asset tokenization), NLP (chatbots), and robo-advisory tools.

Optimize data pipelines for analytics, performance reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Security & Compliance

Strengthen security frameworks (OAuth, encryption, Zero Trust) to protect sensitive financial data.

Ensure alignment with regulatory standards and compliance protocols in wealth management.

Operational Excellence

Define and manage technical review processes , automation roadmaps , and best practice checklists .

Oversee capacity planning , resource allocation , and engagement governance to maximize efficiency and quality across initiatives.

Qualifications Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems , or a related field (Master's preferred).

Experience

8+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles within wealth management, fintech, or financial services.

Proven track record in architecting large-scale enterprise solutions and managing end-to-end delivery.

Technical Expertise

Advanced experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).

Strong proficiency in Java , Python , REST APIs , Kafka , Snowflake , and relational databases.

Hands-on experience in DevOps , CI / CD , and event-driven architectures .

Familiarity with quantitative finance or portfolio management systems is highly advantageous.
