Position Overview
The Program Coordinator for JFamily plays a key role in designing and delivering engaging family programs that reflect the vibrancy of Jewish life in Metro Detroit. This individual will bring creativity, organization, and warmth to the planning, execution, and evaluation of JFamily initiatives.
The ideal candidate is passionate about community engagement, detail-oriented in event logistics, and energized by working collaboratively with families, volunteers, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement a variety of family-focused programs, including holiday celebrations, educational events, and cultural experiences like our annual Mini Maccabi and Matzah Factory programs.
Manage all logistical aspects of programming, such as venue coordination, catering, registration, staffing, supplies, and on-site execution
Build relationships with families and participants, serving as a warm and welcoming point of contact before, during, and after events
Work closely with fellow JFamily team members, volunteers, and local organizations to enhance program offerings and community reach
Create and manage program budgets
