Job Overview :
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team at nursing homes in New York. As a CNA, you will provide direct care to elderly residents in a supportive, respectful, and caring environment. You will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive the highest quality of care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with mobility, including positioning, transferring, and walking assistance.
- Monitor and record residents' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Assist residents with eating and feeding when necessary.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental health to nursing staff.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and physical therapy as prescribed.
- Ensure cleanliness of residents’ living areas and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Help with the admission, transfer, and discharge process of residents.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and activities in compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
- Attend and participate in care plan meetings, training sessions, and other facility-related activities.
Requirements :
Certification : Must have a current and valid CNA certification from the State of New York.Experience : Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.Skills :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and positioning patients.Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude toward elderly individuals.Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move residents and equipment as needed.Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods and assist with mobility tasks.Benefits :
