Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site Patrol in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.

Monitor and report any suspicious or unusual activity around the premises.

Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions within the government facility.

Interact professionally with individuals on-site while upholding all security-related protocols and procedures.

Assist with access control and identification checks as required by site-specific guidelines.

Work closely with law enforcement or emergency responders when situations arise that require coordination.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.

Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or have an equivalent background.

Possess an armed guard card or license.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
