Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Lead Patient Care Tech, you'll be an integral part of the nursing team, delivering compassionate care that impacts patients' lives every day. You'll provide hands-on patient care, assist with advanced procedures, and help guide and mentor and support the growth of new and experienced patient care tech staff. Your responsibilities will include : performing all duties associated with Patient Care Tech job description, assisting in the hiring process by participating in the peer interview process, developing orientation manual and assisting with orientation of new personnel, serving as a positive role model and resource for peers, meeting with new hire PCTs at hospital-wide orientation, precepting all new PCTs to ensure unit expectations and standards are known and followed, ensuring new processes, equipment, policies / procedures, etc. are communicated to PCTs promptly, and leading by example as reflected in positive feedback from patients and staff.

What qualifications you will need : Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date, CNA, LNA, or EMT / Military Medic training preferred, 2+ years of experience in an acute care setting or as a military medic preferred, 1+ years of experience at an HCA facility preferred.
