Sr Manager, Data Analysis

The Senior Manager, Data Analysis, will lead and execute high-impact strategic data initiatives that drive and shape the future of Cox Business Carrier Services. In this role, you will lead a team to partner across Carrier Services and corporate functions to define data strategies, translate them into actionable plans, and ensure their successful delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical thinking, data analysis, data engineering, business acumen, and leadership skills to deliver high-quality analytical assets with a mind toward building for the future.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain reporting / dashboards to support internal and external CB Carrier customer needs. (Scorecard, QBR, Internal Interval reports, KPI, Sales Forecasts, etc.)
  • Lead discussions with internal and external CB Carrier business partners to identify functional requirements.
  • Designs and manages comprehensive research and evaluation initiatives, competitor analysis, analysis of customer buying behavior, and analysis of pricing impact on order volume and ARPU.
  • Works with business partners and stakeholders to understand primary business strategy, objectives, and priorities. Provide analytical support by connecting these goals with underlying data to generate actionable, insight-driven analysis.
  • Identifies opportunities to drive operational efficiencies, revenue growth, and process improvements. Provides recommendations and data-driven solutions.
  • Develop frameworks and apply best practices to mature analytics solutions from proof of concept to prototype to production.
  • Supports critical business projects and initiatives, providing thought leadership on data requirements and scope of analysis necessary to deliver meaningful business insights that support informed decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of maintaining high standards for documentation, cataloging, and continuous improvement using appropriate platforms and technologies.
  • Manage and mentor team members, providing technical guidance.

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or in lieu of a degree, 12 years' experience in a related field will be considered.
  • 3+ years' experience in management or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of analytic processes, data tools, and technologies to drive solution development at scale.
  • Requires strong knowledge of analytical software and tools such as AWS, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
  • Preferred

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-organizational team environment, collaborating with the business leads on key analytical deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop highly skilled, motivated, and engaged teams.
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications and data analytics tools / platforms like Power BI, Tableau, Oracle / SQL, AWS, etc.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry.
