Maintenance Manager

We are partnering with our manufacturing client in Sussex County, DE on their search for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead mechanical and electrical maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and developing a skilled maintenance team capable of supporting electrical, mechanical, and process system requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and coordinate all maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to OSHA and safety standards
  • Oversee installation, repair, and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, conveyors, fillers, and automated equipment
  • Provide expertise in process systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, power transmission, instrumentation, and PLC / DCS troubleshooting
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs and documentation through CMMS
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve equipment issues and support production efficiency
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized maintenance shop and equipment
  • Mentor and train maintenance staff to expand technical capabilities
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including capital projects focused on safety and productivity improvements

Qualifications :

  • 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience with strong electromechanical skills
  • Expertise in pumps, pneumatic / hydraulic systems, gearboxes, VFDs, motors, and automation
  • Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and fabrication
  • Ability to lead projects from concept to completion and manage budgets
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with all levels of plant personnel
  • Welding certification, boiler / hot oil system knowledge a plus
  • Must have 20 / 20 or corrected 20 / 20 vision
