Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and a KY or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours), 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • Floating may be required within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals
  • No Level 1 trauma experience needed for this unit
  • Assignment is 14 weeks in duration
  • Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population in an acute environment
  • Holiday coverage may be required as per hospital needs
  • Requests for more than 1 week of time off are subject to special approval only
  • Former staff must be gone for at least 90 days to be eligible for rehire as a traveler
  • Orientation includes completion of required modules
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • At least 2 years of experience in an ER setting
  • Certifications required : NIHSS, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • No licensure hits accepted
  • One recent reference from a charge nurse or supervisor is required
  • Candidates with prior employment at the facility must disclose for eligibility review
  • Travel experience preferred but not mandatory; first-time travelers only accepted with Level 1 ER experience
  • Locals within 75 miles are not eligible
