Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Full Time

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Full Time in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Tue 03 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Wed 03 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Fri 03 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Sat 01 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Sun 01 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report security-related incidents or hazards, documenting findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and helping to maintain order within the location.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established procedures and collaborating with healthcare staff and first responders as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
