Responsibilities

• To handle check card functions in compliance with bank policies and Regulation E; duties include check card maintenance, check card and ATM disputes, and check card fraud monitoring; to back up other functions in the Electronic Banking Department.
• Handles check card and ATM disputes in compliance with bank policies and Regulation E. (40%)
• Handles check card compromise issues, including check card reissuance and maintenance. (20%)
• Monitors check card usage for fraud; handles alerts from the VISA Compromised Account Management System (CAMS); reviews and manages reports from FIS; works with FIS fraud support services; works with various law enforcement agencies. (15%)
• Develops and maintains procedures; is a resource for training bank personnel on card issues; assists in responding to audit findings and recommendations. (10%)
• Serves as a backup for other Deposit Support functions, including wires. (10%)
• Performs other job related duties as assigned. (5%)

Performance Measurements

Knowledge and Skills

Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and / or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Requires a working understanding of technology and how it can be used to deliver bank services. Also requires experience and understanding of all traditional bank services. Must possess good investigative and communication skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team; must be well organized and detail-oriented; must be able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
