Exciting Opportunity : Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Position in Neuro Critical Care & Neurosurgery at Mercy Health Neuroscience Institute

Mercy Health Physicians is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Neuro Critical Care (NCC) team at St. Vincent Medical Center. This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient NCC services within a collaborative, patient-centered environment that prioritizes excellence in care and education.

Role : Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner, Neuro Critical Care

Location : St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio

Shift : 6 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM (12-hour nocturnist schedule)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive handoffs at the start and end of each shift to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with neurology residents and multidisciplinary teams to manage the NCC service overnight.
• Evaluate and manage neurosurgery consults from the Emergency Department.
• Partner with NCC and neurosurgery physicians on-call for complex cases and critical decision-making.
• Contribute to neurology resident education by participating in teaching and mentoring activities.
• Coordinate care across specialized departments, including Neurosurgery, Endovascular / Stroke, and Neurology.
