Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1570 - $1680 per week PCU Registered Nurse Job Details Job Title : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment Location : Columbia, SC 29204 (South Carolina nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital, Progressive Care Unit Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 26 / 2026) Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Weekly Hours : 36 Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend as needed Floating : May float to similar units within scope Charting System : Epic Scrub Color : Royal Blue Parking : Free parking lots and garages available PCU RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit nursing experience Prior travel nursing experience required Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State / Compact Registered Nurse license (pending license with proof of application accepted) BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification preferred Proficiency with Epic charting system Experience managing a 1 : 4 patient ratio in a PCU setting Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered) First-time travel nurses not accepted PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Progressive Care Unit Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and post-surgical conditions Administer medications and blood products, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips, and perform wound care Utilize Epic for accurate patient charting and documentation Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and rapid response teams Float to similar units as needed to support hospital operations Maintain infection control and isolation precautions Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season if assigned Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
