Description The salary range for this position is $68,500 to $72,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Summary

The EDI Support Specialist is responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting electronic data interchange processes between the organization and its customers. This role ensures accurate and timely transmission of business documents such as purchase orders, invoices, shipping notices, and other transactions. The specialist will work closely with internal teams, customers, and vendors to troubleshoot issues, maintain compliance with EDI standards, and support ongoing improvements to integration systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily EDI transaction flows to ensure successful transmission and receipt of documents.
  • Provide first-line support for EDI-related issues, including error resolution, reprocessing, and partner communication.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, business users, and external trading partners to resolve mapping, connectivity, and data integrity issues.
  • Maintain and support customer setup, communication protocols, and EDI maps.
  • Document EDI processes, workflows, and requirements.
  • Assist in testing and onboarding of new EDI customers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.
  • Analyze transaction errors, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, and improvements related to EDI platforms.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal users on EDI processes and best practices.

Education and / or Experience

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in EDI support, business systems support, or application integration.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of EDI X12 standards and EDI translator tools
  • Experience with EDI mapping, trading partner setup, and EDI communications protocols
  • Knowledge and understanding writing SQL (T-SQL, SSRS, database troubleshooting) stored procedures, and query tuning
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.

    The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
