Job Description : The Deputy Program Manager will direct all phases of programs from inception through completion. This role drives program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, and current programs. Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms / conditions of contract. The Deputy Program Manager will assist the Lead PM with all above items.
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for assisting a Senior Program Manager with managing and directing all phases of program activity from inception through completion in accordance with L3Harris processes and procedures
- Assist with managing highly strategic and complex development programs (multiple)
- Operate within a portfolio of programs and requires backfill assistance outside of primary duties
- Assist with the direction of all phases of programs from inception through completion
- Assist with managing the cost, schedule, and technical performance of advanced programs including managing / coordinating with program leadership / leads such as project engineers, IPTLs, schedulers, etc.
- Monitor all program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications, performance requirements, schedules, and cost commitments
- Manage programs through the integration of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes and procedures
- Identify existing or potential program risks and obtain solutions such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
- Assist with ensuring all required resources such as engineering, human resources, production, computer resources and licenses, security, infrastructure, facilities are available for the program
- Assist with security / infrastructure / logistics support across the portfolio to ensure programs remain operational across security environments
- Act as one of the primary customer contact for program activities and participate in program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Participate in and contribute to internal cost, schedule, and technical reporting requirements
- Assist with developing new business, add-work, and change proposals including quick-turn ROMs
- Assist with negotiation of contract and contract changes
- Oversee the generation, quality, and timeliness of all written customer deliverables and reports
- Occasional travel required
Qualifications :
Must Have an Active / Current Top Secret ClearanceBachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experiencePreferred Additional Skills : Strong people skills with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic teamStrong Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experiencePMP certification or equivalent desiredAbility to travel occasionallyExcellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational successIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey state is $104,500-$193,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
