Note : Although working in the field of behavioral health treatment is incredibly rewarding, it’s not for everyone. It takes a special kind of person to the work that we do. There are unique challenges in working with the substance use disorder treatment population, and not all stories have happy endings. Having a high level of emotional fortitude is a must.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION :

Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and / or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical service, and research. PAR’s Medication Assisted Patient Services (MAPS) Program provides quality out-patient opioid maintenance therapy to individuals suffering from the effects of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION :

Performs substance use disorder and mental health counseling work on an individual patient basis and in a group setting. Also provides evaluation, screening, and assessment services. Responsible for servicing primary caseload along with other patients as assigned, and documenting in accordance with company standards. All Counselors are provided their own private office to conduct counseling sessions.
