As an Upstream Acquisitions and Divestitures Manager you will lead upstream evaluations and identify new opportunities in alignment with vertical integration strategy. Your work will be pivotal in driving value through subsurface analysis and inventory assessment to support G&P expansion and corporate M&A initiatives. You will oversee a team consisting of two reservoir engineers and a geologist, guiding their efforts to deliver strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities / Expectations :
Supports Corporate Strategic Development (CSD) Market Intelligence by identifying and qualifying remaining drilling inventory and undeveloped resource potential tied to current midstream infrastructure
Conducts basin studies and subsurface evaluations to identify underdeveloped or overlooked drilling opportunities to recommend potential vertical integration opportunities
Supports Gathering and Processing (G&P) evaluation and validation of customer-provided forecasts and development plans by integrating reservoir engineering and geological data
Collaborates with Gathering and Processing to align contractual risk mitigation efforts with subsurface risk underlying the capital required of the project
Leads subsurface due diligence, asset valuation, and risk assessment of targeted acquisitions in support of CSD Business Development and M&A efforts
Works with investment bank's technical staff in validating their analysis and supporting material throughout the A&D process
Works directly with CSD Business Development on G&P acquisitions and bolt-ons
Monitors competitor activity and industry trends within WMB Upstream footprint and surrounding region (i.e. Rockies) for opportunity to expand existing vertically integrated assets
Collaborates with WMB Upstream operating team to recommend strategic acquisitions of drilling rights or unleased acreage, mirroring the approach of private equity-backed exploration
