Insurance Appeals Specialist

A company is looking for an Insurance Appeals Specialist to manage and draft responses to deductions taken by insurance companies on defense counsel invoices.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the review, research, and preparation of appeal responses to insurance company deductions

Collaborate with teams to implement strategies for improving compliance with billing guidelines

Track and report on the outcomes of submitted appeals and establish performance goals

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Bachelor's degree required; JD strongly preferred

5+ years of experience in legal bill review or insurance defense work

Experience as an attorney or paralegal at a large law firm or major insurance company

Vast knowledge of insurance company Defense Counsel Billing Guidelines

Proficiency in legal billing software and Microsoft Office applications
