Role : Business Process Analyst
Duration : 3-6 Month Contract to Hire
Location : Stamford, CT (5 Days Onsite)
Key Responsibilities
Process Documentation and Analysis
o Capture and map current-state businesses and technology processes across city departments
o Design and document target-state processes that align with citywide IT standards and the mayor's strategic vision, and identify inherent risks and gaps in the process
Cross Functional Facilitation
o Organize and lead working groups and cross-departmental meetings to review technology processes, requirements, dependencies and priorities
o Ensure departmental-level messaging and practices are consistent with citywide processes Collaborate with City department heads and operational stakeholders to gather and validate business and functional requirements for the customization and implementation of SaaS applications (ERP and CRM tools)
Support SaaS rollouts
o Liaise with vendors to help departments with their SaaS rollouts, including data conversion, data mapping and data quality testing
Standards and Governance Support
o Support the development and enforcement of IT standards, procedures, and governance frameworks
o Monitor compliance with established policies and escalate exceptions as necessary
Continuous Improvement
o Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency gains
o Provide insights to leadership to inform decision-making and prioritization of IT initiatives
Additional related responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as needed to support departmental goals.
Experience :
6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst, or a similar role in IT, government, or public sector environment
Demonstrated experience with process mapping tools (E.g. : MS-Visio), analysis tools (E.g. : Python, R for statistical analysis, and MS-Excel for basic use cases), visualization tools for providing data insights (E.g. : Tableau, PowerBI)
Knowledge of facilitating meeting and workshops involving stakeholders from disparate departments
Knowledge of technology governance and risk management
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills
