Compensation : $30 - $35 hourly
Responsibilities :
Assist orthodontists during orthodontic procedures, including placing and removing orthodontic brackets, archwires, and bandsTake accurate scans / impressions of the patient's teeth for the creation of orthodontic appliancesPrepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipmentEducate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide instructions for appliance careMaintain accurate patient records, including treatment charts, progress notes, and digital imagingProvide exceptional customer service and ensure patient comfort and satisfactionAdhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environmentKeep up-to-date with the latest orthodontic techniques and procedures through continuing educationQualifications :
An Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is requiredMust possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)Previous experience working as an orthodontic assistant is highly desirableKnowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materialsProficiency in taking dental impressions and X-raysStrong organizational and multitasking skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentAttention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient careBasic computer skills and knowledge of dental softwareAbout Company
