Substitute Teacher
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
ACA Status : Part-time
Job Summary
Carry out daily lessons as prepared by the classroom teacher. Assume duties such as recess or lunch monitoring as appropriate and assigned.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by enforcing rules and procedures in accordance with the disciplinary systems of the School.
- Provide appropriate feedback and encouragement to students on their work.
Other Duties
Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.Work as a member of a team.Other duties as may be assigned.Qualifications
BA / BS degree from an accredited institution preferred3+ years teaching experience preferredTraining or experience in Special Education preferredAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writingKnowledge and implementation of relevant technologyGeneral Requirements
