Overview

Product Counsel, Crypto role at Stripe. The focus is on legal support for Stripe's product, engineering and partnerships teams with respect to cryptocurrency and stablecoin products, including Privy wallet-as-a-service offering.

What you'll do

• Be part of a growing team of Product Counsel responsible for helping Stripe deliver products that are compliant with laws and contractual commitments to users globally, with a focus on Privy's cryptocurrency wallet-as-a-service offering.
• Help Privy navigate the intersection of technological innovation, e-commerce user experiences, and financial services compliance on a range of issues.
• Collaborate with Stripe teams including product, engineering, partnerships, compliance, risk and marketing on issues related to product development and commercialization; advise on new and emerging legal and regulatory developments; identify trends and potential impacts on business activities and adapt existing laws to new technologies.
• Work closely with colleagues across Stripe's global legal team to support regulatory structure, customer agreements and strategic financial partnerships.
• Help scope and build scalable and effective processes for legal review and launch of new products.
• Stay up-to-date on US, UK, EU and other global laws and regulations pertaining to cryptocurrency and stablecoin products.
• Participate as a proactive and strategic business partner to senior leaders and be a trusted advisor.

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

In-office vs remote expectations

Office locations : spend at least 50% of time in local office or with users for in-person collaboration. Remote : regular work from home; Stripe does not cover relocation costs. Apply for roles matching your current or planned location.

Compensation and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $196,000 - $294,000. Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions / bonuses, 401(k), medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
