Role Description

The Estimator role is responsible for working directly with contractors and preparing accurate door, frame, and commercial hardware estimates based on contract documents and specifications for commercial building projects. This role requires the ability to accurately interpret construction plans, specifications, review addendum, and other related documents to assemble accurate estimates. The Estimator works with commercial contractors pre and post bid to help sell our products and services. This is achieved by using the cost estimating Comsense software, preparing project proposals, and providing assistance to clients in need of doors, frames, and hardware. This role also collaborates with internal teams and external partners to manage sold projects through all phases until completion.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide math including fractions, decimals, cost mark-up values, and the ability to read measuring tape
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a multiple deadlines and timeline critical projects
• Driver's license
