Storm Manager - T&D Construction - East Coast US
Gryphon Oakwood is currently working on a Storm Manager role for a leading Electrical contractor along the East Coast. The role will involve overseeing all storm operations working with Utilities to form storm contracts and to coordinate construction for Transmission, Distribution and substations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for utility customers regarding storm contracts, rates, and resource needs.
- Oversee contract compliance, performance metrics, and service-level agreements.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and support across all storm phases.
- Develop and maintain accurate rosters of crews, equipment, and support resources for T&D and substation operations.
- Coordinate logistics to enable quick and efficient mobilization during storm events.
- Provide customers with timely updates on resource status and response progress.
- Collaborate with operations, safety, and logistics teams to ensure safe, effective field response.
- Monitor and report on resource utilization, costs, and restoration milestones.
- Conduct post-event reviews and integrate lessons learned into process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to expand APC’s storm response and restoration services within the utility sector.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key utility stakeholders.
- Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and participation in industry events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Emergency Management, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.Minimum 5 years in utility construction, storm response, business development, or contract management.Familiarity with T&D systems, substations, and storm restoration operations strongly preferred.
