About the Family & Social Services Administration :
The Division of Family Resources (DFR) within the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) is responsible for establishing eligibility for Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families benefits. The division also manages the timely and accurate delivery of SNAP and TANF benefits. DFR also provides employment and training services to some SNAP and TANF recipients. The division's overarching focus is the support and preservation of families by emphasizing self-sufficiency and personal responsibility.
Role Overview :
This role serves as the Local Office Manager of a DFR office and manages the dissemination of assignments to subordinate staff, delivers consistent coaching and redirection where appropriate and uniformly addresses employee needs without overlapping directives within the same local office. Your role will also be responsible for directing the State Eligibility Manager staff and ensure compliance with routed assignments based on state and federal laws, rules, and regulations regarding public assistance programs.
The ideal candidate must serve as a current State Eligibility Manager plus eight (8) years of experience in program coordination, development, implementation, or related experience; plus at least one (1) additional year of administrative, managerial, or supervisory experience. A combination of experience and accredited college training may be considered. The candidate is required to maintain a valid driver's license.
This role is located at the Beech Grove, IN office.
Salary Statement :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $59,800.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
