Qualifications
Education and Experience : Education equivalent to a high school diploma supplemented by 2 years of experience performing data entry and retrieval. Special Qualifications : Must possess satisfactory results of a criminal history background check. Must possess and maintain a valid Virginia driver's license. Virginia Class B commercial driver's license is preferred but not required; Solid Waste Management Facility Operator's license, preferred. Weekend work required. OSHA Industrial safety training required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as moderate, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Tasks may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, reaching, sitting, moving and / or pulling of objects and materials etc. Requires the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, odor, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals. Requires the ability to communicate orally. Requires ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Essential functions are regularly performed at the County transfer station. Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
