We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Developer to join our Financial Applications team, specifically supporting Credit and Customer-Centric projects. This role is responsible for the end-to-end design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications with a strong emphasis on Oracle database development, batch processing, and performance optimization in an Exadata environment. The developer will work closely with stakeholders, mentor junior developers, and participate throughout the full software development life cycle (SDLC), ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
Job Responsibilities :
- Gather and analyze business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and SMEs
- Design, develop, and maintain complex OLTP Oracle-based database applications in multi-tier architecture
- Create PL / SQL packages, procedures, functions, materialized views, and triggers for high-performance applications
- Perform impact analysis, performance tuning, and optimization using Oracle Exadata
- Manage and support batch processing using UNIX shell scripts and Control-M
- Participate in system design, peer code reviews, testing, and documentation in Confluence
- Track development progress using JIRA, manage source control in GitHub
- Support critical production applications including Accounts Receivable, Credit Collection, and Email Management systems
- Provide tier-2 on-call production support and resolve technical issues
- Mentor junior developers and share best practices and technical guidance
- Coordinate and / or supervise development team tasks
- Participate in project planning, feasibility analysis, and cost-benefit evaluation
- Engage in application server maintenance, patching, audit compliance, and SOX reporting
Required Skills :
8+ years of IT experience in Oracle database development in OLTP systemsExpertise in Oracle 11g, Exadata, and Oracle RAC clustersStrong hands-on experience with PL / SQL, complex SQL, SQL Loader, LOBs, and multilingual character conversionProven skills in UNIX / Linux / Solaris scripting for batch processingExperience with JIRA, GitHub, Control-M, Microservices / Bhoomi ServicesDeep understanding of performance tuning techniques in OracleFamiliarity with business applications such as Accounts Receivable systemsExperience with large data movement and data quality optimizationStrong documentation, presentation, and verbal / written communication skillsProven ability to lead and mentor development teamsPreferred Skills :
Willingness to learn and contribute to Java / J2EE developmentExperience with XML, SQL Reports, unit testing methods for PL / SQLExposure to application security and audit compliance (e.g., SOX)Certifications :
